Valoración de los efectos del cultivo de lactobacilos (Vitafert) en la cría de terneros en Tabasco

Abstract

Con el propósito de evaluar el comportamiento del ternero suplementado con Vitafert, bajo el sistema de doble propósito, se realizaron dos Etapa. La primera Etapa fue del 20 de febrero al 20 de abril y la segunda del 21 de Junio al 21 de Agosto de 2010, se evaluó el efecto del probiotico (Vitafert) en terneros pre-destete; Etapa I, se utilizaron 18 terneros con un peso vivo promedio de 71.3 ±38 kg. Etapa II, se utilizaron los mismos animales con peso promedio de 87.5±49 Kg. Distribuidos en dos tratamientos, T1: Pastoreo + Vitafert + Suplemento y T2: Pastoreo + Suplemento. El Vitafert se proporcionó diariamente vía oral a razón de 5 ml por kg-1PV-1. Para el análisis de los datos se utilizó un diseño de bloques completos al azar, bajo un arreglo factorial con covariable para peso inicial. No se encontró diferencias significativas (P>0.05) para ganancia diaria de peso entre los tratamientos. Pero si hubo un efecto positivo del Vitafert (P<0.05) de peso vivo a finales de cada Etapa. La incidencia de diarreas fue 2.2% con Vitafert y 7.1% sin Vitafert con diferencias significativas (P<0.05), para Etapa I y no significativo Etapa II. El Vitafert no tuvo efecto sobre los nematodos (P>0.05). Se concluye que el suministro del Vitafert en terneros lactantes tuvo efecto positivo en el crecimiento y el control de diarreas, no tuvo efecto sobre el control de nematodos. _______________ VALUATION OF THE EFFECTS OF CULTURE LACTOBACILLI (VITAFERT) ON RAISING CALVES IN TABASCO.
