Propuesta de diseño de un proyecto turístico basado en la permacultura y el diseño regenerativo en Palo Alto, Fortín, Veracruz, México.

Abstract

Actualmente en el planeta se vive una crisis ecológica, económica y social, con altos impactos negativos al medio ambiente, que ponen en riesgo la vida en el planeta. Ante tal panorama, el turismo busca contribuir a esta problemática a través del modelo de turismo regenerativo cuyo enfoque es holístico, experiencial, transformacional, regenerativo y que busca ir más allá de la sustentabilidad. El objetivo de este estudio fue realizar una propuesta de diseño de una parcela en Palo Alto, Fortín, basado en la permacultura y el diseño regenerativo para el uso sustentable de sus recursos bioculturales, a través del turismo regenerativo. A través de la aplicación de entrevistas y observación directa se documentó la situación actual de los recursos bioculturales de la comunidad de Palo Alto. Se registraron e identificaron un total de 170 plantas y 22 especies de mariposas con potencial turístico. Toda la información generada y compilada sirvió de base para realizar la propuesta de diseño esquemático de una parcela, que será el modelo y el punto de partida para crear nuevos diseños o bien rediseñar las actuales parcelas con la finalidad de gestionar un proyecto comunitario de turismo con un enfoque de permacultura y diseño regenerativo. No obstante, se debe continuar trabajando en la integración e involucramiento de la comunidad en este tipo de proyecto y profundizar en los inventarios de flora y fauna del lugar. La implementación de lo propuesto en el diseño logrado en este trabajo contribuirá al decenio (2021-2030) de las Naciones Unidas sobre la “Restauración de los Ecosistemas”, cuyo objetivo es prevenir, detener y revertir la degradación de los mismos a nivel mundial, así como mejorar la seguridad alimentaria, el suministro de agua y la biodiversidad. _______________ DESIGN PROPOSAL FOR A TOURISM PROJECT BASED ON PERMACULTURE AND REGENERATIVE DESIGN IN PALO ALTO, FORTIN, VERACRUZ, MEXICO. ABSTRACT: Currently, the planet is experiencing an ecological, economic and social crisis, with high negative impacts on the environment that puts life on the planet at risk. Faced with such a scenario, tourism seeks to contribute to this problem through the regenerative tourism model whose approach is holistic, experiential, transformational, regenerative and that seeks to go beyond sustainability. The objective of this study was to make a design proposal for a plot in Palo Alto, Fortín, based on permaculture and regenerative design for the sustainable use of its biocultural resources, through regenerative tourism. Through the application of interviews and direct observation, the current situation of the biocultural resources of the community of Palo Alto was documented. A total of 170 plants and 22 species of butterflies with tourism potential were registered and identified. All the information generated and compiled served as the basis for making the proposal for the schematic design of a plot, which will be the model and the starting point for creating new designs or redesigning the current plots in order to manage a community tourism project with a permaculture approach and regenerative design. Nevertheless, work must continue on the integration and involvement of the community in this type of project and deepen the flora and fauna inventories of the place. The implementation of what is proposed in the design achieved in this work will contribute to the decade (2021-2030) of the United Nations on the "Restoration of Ecosystems", whose objective is to prevent, stop and reverse their degradation worldwide, as well as improve food security, water supply and biodiversity.
