| dc.description.abstract | La zona de la montaña del municipio de Texcoco es un conjunto de localidades cuya localización y características geográficas han contribuido a preservar elementos naturales, sociales, culturales e históricos que enmarcan un paisaje susceptible de potencializarse a través de sus recursos turísticos para el desarrollo de la actividad turística. Sin embargo, también prevalecen algunos factores que han forjado impedimentos para impulsar dicha acción, como la ausencia de objetivos inclinados al desarrollo del turismo dentro de la política pública local, las discrepancias entre los diferentes niveles de la gestión territorial (estatal, municipal y local), así como la idiosincrasia, formas de organización y apropiación arraigadas en algunos poblados de la zona de estudio. El objetivo del presente estudio ha sido elaborar un inventario de recursos turísticos a partir del registro en fichas que contengan la información necesaria para el estudio, análisis y evaluación de dichos recursos con la finalidad de construir material de apoyo que sirva a los instrumentos de planeación para la formulación de futuros planes y programas dentro de los cuales se considere a la actividad turística como impulsor del desarrollo económico, social y cultural a nivel local. La metodología empleada se apoyó de la aplicación de encuestas dirigidas a las autoridades auxiliares, que contribuyó a poder identificar de manera más precisa el tipo de recursos con los que cuenta cada localidad; asimismo se realizaron visitas a campo que permitieron observar el mayor número de recursos para su descripción y evaluación, además se indagó en material bibliográfico como complemento a la información recabada. Los principales hallazgos reflejan que existe un número significativo de recursos que pueden potencializarse; sin embargo, se requieren de diferentes acciones que integren a la zona en aspectos organizativos, sociales, culturales y políticos para que el desarrollo de posibles proyectos en materia turística genere resultados positivos en el incremento de la calidad de vida de los pobladores que se han sostenido de la actividad de forma no regulada. Se concluyó que se podrían realizar estudios en materia turística desde el gobierno municipal en coordinación con diferentes actores locales para potencializar los recursos turísticos existentes a través de prácticas de aprovechamiento sustentable y sostenible que abran paso a nuevos objetivos dentro de futuros planes y programas que permitan diversificar las estrategias para el desarrollo local. _______________ CLASSIFICATION OF TEXCOCO TOURIST RESOURCES AS A TOOL FOR LOCAL TOURISM PLANNING AND ORDERING.
