| dc.description.abstract | Los seres humanos tenemos una afinidad innata hacia los recursos naturales. Por diversas razones, desde evolutivas hasta espirituales, su contacto nos brinda bienestar. Sin embargo, actualmente en el Estado de México la mayor parte de la población se concentra en zonas urbanas y por lo general tienen poco acceso a ecosistemas naturales. Los árboles tienen un gran significado en nuestras vidas. Además de su evidente valor a la generación de servicios ambientales como el oxigeno y el agua elementos indispensables para nuestra existencia, mejoran la calidad del ambiente al limpiar el aire y reducir la contaminación por ruido, además de ayudar a regular la temperatura. Esta obra es una guía para conocer las principales especies arbóreas y arbustivas que vegetan actualmente en la entidad. Presenta datos básicos e importantes sobre los nombres de las plantas y la terminología para describirlas, apoyados con ilustraciones que facilitan su identificación. La obra esta dirigida a todos los interesados en la gestión de los ecosistemas forestales, como una herramienta que contribuye a mejorar el conocimiento e interés por proteger y fomentar el manejo sostenible de los recursos naturales en la entidad. El trabajo esta basado en información obtenida en las ocho regiones de la Protectora de Bosques del Estado de México (PROBOSQUE), se describen 100 especies dentro de las cuales algunas son nativas y otras exóticas. _______________ ABSTRACT: The human beings have an innate likeness toward the natural resources. For diverse reasons, from evolutionary until spiritual, their contact offers us welfares.However, at the moment in the State of Mexico most of the population concentrates on urban areas and in general they have little access to natural ecosystems. The trees have a great meaning in our lives. Besides their evident value to the generation of environmental services as oxygen and water, indispensable elements for our existence, they improve the quality from the atmosphere when cleaning the air and to reduce the contamination for noise, besides helping to regulate the temperature. This work is a guide to know the main tree and shrub species that vegetate at the moment in the entity. It presents basic and important data on the names of the plants and the terminology to describe them, leaning with illustrations that facilitate their identification. The work this directed to all the interested ones in the management of the forest ecosystems, like a tool that contributes to improve the knowledge and interest to protect and to foment the sustainable managment of the natural resources in the entity. The work is based on information obtained in the eight regions of the Protectora de Bosques del Estado de México (PROBOSQUE), describes 100 species within some of which are native and other exotic. | es_MX |
