| dc.description.abstract | San Miguel Tenango pertenece al municipio de Zacatlán, en la Sierra Norte de Puebla, tradicionalmente elaboran varios tipos de artesanías entre ellos la cestería con fibras vegetales. A partir del año 2011, Zacatlán forma parte del programa “Pueblos Mágicos” de la Secretaría de Turismo Federal, recibiendo un constante flujo de visitantes que va en aumento, convirtiéndolo en un nicho de oportunidades para los artesanos. El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación fue analizar la organización y producción de artesanías con fibras vegetales, los beneficios que genera esta actividad y cómo ha contribuido al mejoramiento socioeconómico de las familias.
Se utilizó el enfoque mixto, es un estudio fenomenológico orientado a la producción artesanal con fibras vegetales de San Miguel Tenango. Se empleó: Investigación Documental, observación y entrevistas a artesanos e informantes clave para la investigación, el enfoque de cadena de valor para conocer el proceso, los insumos, y actores que intervienen en la elaboración de la chita, principal artesanía de fibras vegetales distintiva de SMT. Del método cuantitativo, se seleccionó la técnica estadística para el diseño y aplicación de un cuestionario a las y los artesanos que trabajan con fibras vegetales. La metodología aplicada para esta investigación fue adecuada para comprender las experiencias vividas por los artesanos, e identificar diferencias con la percepción de los demás participantes entrevistados. La producción y venta de artesanías es importante para las familias, dándose la transmisión de conocimientos, así como la mano de obra familiar es el principal recurso humano para esta actividad, contribuyendo a su mejoramiento socioeconómico. _______________ BASKETERY, A SOCIOECONOMIC ALTERNATIVE TO THE RURAL ARTISAN FAMILIES’ INCOME IN SAN MIGUEL TENANGO, ZACATLÁN, PUEBLA. ABSTRACT: San Miguel Tenango belongs to the municipality of Zacatlán, in the Sierra Norte de Puebla, they traditionally make various types of handicrafts, including basketry with vegetable fibers. As of 2011, Zacatlán is part of the "Pueblos Mágicos" program of the Federal Tourism Secretariat, receiving a constant flow of visitors that is increasing, turning it into a niche of opportunities for artisans. The objective of this research work was to analyze the organization and production of vegetable fiber handicrafts, the benefits generated by this activity and how it has contributed to the socioeconomic improvement of families. The mixed approach was used, it is a phenomenological study oriented to the artisanal production in vegetable fibers of San Miguel Tenango. It was used: Documentary Research, observation and interviews with artisans and key informants for the research, the value chain approach to know the process, the inputs, and the actors involved in the elaboration of the cheetah, the main handicraft in vegetable fibers distinctive of SMT. From the quantitative method, the statistical technique was selected for the design and application of a questionnaire to the artisans who work with vegetable fibers. The methodology applied for this research was consistent to understand the experiences lived by the artisans, and identify differences with the perception of the other interviewed participants. The production and sale of handicrafts is important for families, giving rise to the transmission of knowledge, as well as family labor is the main human resource for this activity, contributing to its socioeconomic improvement. | es_MX |
