| dc.description.abstract | La participación de las mujeres campesinas en la agricultura les ha generado saberes sobre el manejo de cultivos, la producción de alimentos y plantas medicinales, que contribuyen con la biodiversidad y su conservación. El objetivo de la investigación consistió en identificar como participan en la agricultura, las mujeres campesinas ejidatarias o esposas de ejidatarios, en los ejidos de Ocuituco y Metepec, del municipio de Ocuituco, Morelos, y conocer su percepción sobre la variabilidad climática y su relación con el incremento de plagas en sus cultivos y su manejo. Desde la perspectiva de género, se empleó un enfoque mixto de investigación, mediante la técnica de observación, recorridos de campo, encuesta con el uso de cuestionario y entrevistas semiestructuradas a informantes clave. Se definió una muestra de 67 mujeres participantes en el estudio. Se encontró que participan en labores agrícolas y comercialización de sus productos, identifican la variabilidad climática como cambios en los ciclos de lluvia y el incremento de temperaturas principalmente. Reconocen la relación de incremento de plagas y enfermedades en sus cultivos con la variabilidad climática, destacan afectaciones en cultivos como maíz, aguacate, principalmente; ello hace que enfrenten dificultades para desarrollar estrategias de adaptación para su manejo y control. Se identificaron factores que limitan la efectividad de su participación en la agricultura como: desigualdad en el acceso a la tenencia de la tierra, a la toma de decisiones y falta de acceso a recursos y capacitación por no ser consideradas en las políticas de fomento productivo. _______________PARTICIPATION OF PEASANT WOMEN IN AGRICULTURE, PERCEPTION OF CLIMATE VARIABILITY AND PRESENCE OF PESTS IN OCUITUCO, MORELOS. ABSTRACT: The participation of peasant women in agriculture has generated them knowledge about the management of crops, the production of food and medicinal plants, which contribute to biodiversity and its conservation. The objective of the research was to identify as peasant ejidatarias (village-owned collective woman farmers) or wives of ejidatarios and how they participate in agriculture, in ejidos of Ocuituco and Metepec, in the municipality of Ocuituco, Morelos, and to know their perception of climate variability and its relationship with the increase of pests in their crops and their management. From the gender perspective, a mixed research approach was used, through the observation technique, field trips, and a survey with the use of a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews with key informants. A sample of 68 women participating in the study was defined. It was found that they participate in agricultural work and commercialization of their products; they identify climatic variability as changes in the rain cycles and the increase in temperatures mainly. They recognize the relationship of the increase in pests and diseases in their crops with the climatic variability; they highlight the effects on crops such as corn, avocado, mainly. This makes them face difficulties in developing adaptation strategies for their management and control. Factors that limit the effectiveness of their participation in agriculture were identified, such as inequality in access to land tenure, decision-making and lack of access to resources and training because they are not considered in the policies of productive development. | es_MX |
