Jardines ecológicos como atractivo turístico en el medio rural.

Abstract

Los jardines han formado parte de la historia de la humanidad desde el inicio de las civilizaciones. A través del tiempo, su diseño y estilos han evolucionado, y, debido a las actuales situaciones de pérdida de biodiversidad y calentamiento global, uno de esos estilos es el del jardín ecológico. Este tipo de jardines es sustentable en su establecimiento y manejo, al mismo tiempo que cumplir con los requerimientos estéticos de los usuarios. Estos jardines, además de ser amigables con el ambiente, pueden ser utilizados como recursos turísticos. En países como el Reino Unido, el uso de jardines como recursos turísticos, y en general, el turismo de jardines, está consolidado. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo realizar una exploración teórica de los jardines ecológicos como atractivo turístico en el medio rural y sus principales características. Mediante una revisión de literatura se documentaron las características de este estilo de jardines, así como las principales características y lugares donde existe turismo de jardines; además, se realizó una plantación para observar el efecto del nivel de la concentración de los nutrientes en el número de especies y sus características (altura y diámetro del tallo). Se encontró que este tipo de jardines cuentan con potencial para ser utilizados como recursos turísticos en el medio rural, y de la plantación realizada, se concluyó que el nivel de concentración de nutrientes no afectó el número de especies pero sí la altura y el diámetro del tallo de los individuos. _______________ ECOLOGICAL GARDENS AS A TOURIST ATTRACTION IN THE RURAL ENVIRONMENT. ABSTRACT: Gardens have been part of the history of humanity since the beginning of civilizations. Through time, its design and styles have evolved and, due to the current situations of loss of biodiversity and global warming, one of these styles is the ecological garden. This type of garden is sustainable in its establishment and management, as long as it meets the aesthetic requirements of its users. These gardens, in addition to being friendly to the environment, can be used as tourist resources. In countries like the United Kingdom, the use of gardens as a tourist resource and, in general, garden tourism is consolidated. This work aims to carry out a theoretical exploration of ecological gardens as a tourist attraction in rural areas and their main characteristics. Through a literature review, the characteristics of this style of gardens were documented, as well as the main characteristics and places where garden tourism exists; Furthermore, a sowing was carried out to observe the effect of the level of nutrient concentration on the number of species and their characteristics (height and diameter of the stem). It was found that this type of orchards have the potential to be used as tourist resources in rural areas, as well as the plantation carried out, it was concluded that the level of concentration of nutrients affects the number of species even as the height and diameter of the stem of individuals.
