El aprovechamiento de la macadamia y el capulín de mayo como complementos económico - productivos de las parcelas de café en el municipio de Sochiapa, Veracruz.

Abstract

La caída de precios y la sobre producción mundial del café en los últimos años genera un ambiente hostil para los productores del municipio de Sochiapa que sufre los estragos de la crisis de precio que obligan a buscar alternativas en la mejora de ingresos de las familias cafeticultoras. El objetivo de este trabajo es Identificar el potencial económico que tienen las especies que se encuentran dentro del mismo espacio productivo del café en el municipio de Sochiapa Veracruz. Determinando la relación costo beneficio del capulín de mayo (ardisia compressa) y analizando la problemática productiva que enfrenta la macadamia en el municipio de Sochiapa Veracruz. Para el desarrollo de la investigación se utilizó una metodología mixta recolectando la información combinando encuestas semi-estructuradas bajo muestreo y observación directa. La muestra se determinó usando un marco lista de agricultores y aplicando muestreo simple aleatorio. Entre los resultados más importantes de la investigación destaca la relación beneficio – costo que genera un valor de 1.51 obteniendo el agricultor su peso de inversión más 0.51 pesos de ganancia, así como los problemas de calidad que presenta el cultivo de macadamia como consecuencia de un mal manejo de la post cosecha y desinformación sobre el cultivo. _______________ THE USE OF MACADAMIA AND MAY CAPULIN AS ECONOMIC COMPLEMENTS - PRODUCTS OF COFFEE PLOTS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SOCHIAPA, VERACRUZ. ABSTRACT: The fall in prices and the global overproduction of coffee in recent years creates a hostile environment for the producers of the municipality of Sochiapa that suffers the ravages of the price crisis that forces them to look for alternatives in improving the income of coffee-growing families. The objective of this work is to identify the economic potential of the species that are within the same coffee production space in the municipality of Sochiapa Veracruz. Determining the cost-benefit ratio of the May cocoon (ardisia compresssa) and analyzing the productive problems faced by the macadamia in the municipality of Sochiapa Veracruz. For the development of the research, a mixed methodology was used, collecting the information combining semi-structured surveys under sampling and direct observation. The sample was determined using a farmer list framework and applying simple random sampling. Among the most important results of the research, the benefit-cost ratio that generates a value of 1.51 is worth, with the farmer obtaining his investment weight plus 0.51 pesos of profit, as well as the quality problems presented by the cultivation of macadamia as a result of a bad Post harvest management and disinformation about the crop.
