Repoblamiento natural de tres especies de Bursera en la sierra de Huautla, Morelos.

Abstract

El género Bursera es abundante en la selva estacional seca de México, y aunque muy diverso, su conocimiento es incompleto, pues se conoce poco sobre sus factores de establecimiento y repoblamiento natural. En esta investigación se determinó el patrón de distribución espacial de tres especies: Bursera bipinnata, Bursera copallifera y Bursera glabrifolia, y los factores asociados a su repoblamiento y establecimiento. El trabajo se realizó en Tepalcingo, Morelos. Se censaron árboles adultos en 15 ha y en 30 transectos de 30 m2, se censaron plántulas. Se registró sus coordenadas y asociación a nodrizas. El patrón de distribución espacial en adultos, se analizó con la función K(t) de Ripley, en el programa ArcGis, y las plántulas con el índice estandarizado de Morisita. Con una prueba de Ji-Cuadrada χ² se determinó si los individuos que se encuentran en las diferentes condiciones eran similares y si la asociación era diferente al pasar del estadio de plántula a adulto. Los resultados en adultos muestran que, las tres especies en conjunto tienen un patrón de distribución agrupado a cualquier distancia, al igual que B. copallifera y B. glabrifolia a nivel individual. B. bipinnata presentó un patrón de distribución aleatorio. Los resultados en plántulas muestran que las tres especies tienen un patrón de distribución espacial aleatorio. La prueba de Ji-Cuadrada χ², muestra que la proporción de individuos asociados a una nodriza fue significativa (p < 0.05) al pasar de plántula a adulto. _______________ NATURAL REPOPULATION OF THREE SPECIES OF Bursera IN THE SIERRA DE HUAUTLA, MORELOS. ABSTRACT: The genus Bursera is abundant in the seasonal dry forest of Mexico, and although very diverse, its knowledge is incomplete, as little is known about its establishment factors and natural repopulation. In this investigation the spatial distribution pattern of three species: Bursera bipinnata, Bursera copallifera and Bursera glabrifolia, and the factors associated to its repopulation and establishment were determined. The work was done in Tepalcingo, Morelos. Adult trees were census in 15 ha and in 30 transects of 30 m2, seedlings were census. Their coordinates and their association with nurse plants were recorded. The spatial distribution pattern in adults, was analyzed with the Ripley K(t) function in the ArcGis program, and the seedlings with the Morisita standardized index. With a Chi-Square test χ², it was determined whether the individuals found in the different conditions were similar and whether the association was different from the stage of the seedlings to adult. The results in adults show that, the three species together have a distribution pattern grouped at any distance, as well as B. copallifera and B. glabrifolia at the individual level. B. bipinnata presented a pattern of random distribution. Seedling results show that all three species have a random spatial distribution pattern. The Chi-Square test χ², shows that the proportion of individuals associated with a nurse plants was significant (p <0.05) when passing from seedlings to adult.
