La historia de la negritud como recurso turístico en el municipio de Yanga, Veracruz.

Abstract

El municipio de Yanga, Veracruz, el primer pueblo libre de América, ha recibido, en la última década, visitantes de diferentes partes del mundo. La historia del primer líder africano que defendió los derechos humanos de los esclavos traídos a la Nueva España en el siglo XVI, despierta interés en personas con distintos perfiles y procedencia, incluyendo familias afroamericanas. La vida de Nyanga no es fácilmente accesible y está llena de misterios, lo cual representa una oportunidad para investigar sobre su legado y su contribución a la historia de la negritud en México. El surgimiento del pueblo libre de Yanga en el marco de la colonia del siglo XVI es un hecho extraordinario en la historia de la negritud en México. De lo anterior nace el interés por conocer su historia. El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar si la historia de la negritud puede ser considerada un recurso con potencial turístico en el municipio de Yanga en Veracruz. Este trabajo es un estudio descriptivo de corte transversal. Se aplicó un cuestionario complementado con la revisión de fuentes secundarias de información. Como resultado de este trabajo de investigación, se obtuvo la valoración de la historia de la negritud como recurso turístico. _______________ BLACK HISTORY AS TOURISM RESOURCE IN YANGA, VERACRUZ MUNICIPALITY. ABSTRACT: The municipality of Yanga, Veracruz, the first American continent liberated town, has received in the last decade, visitors from different parts of the world. The history of the first African leader who defended the slave’s rights, whom were brought to new Spain in the 16th century, arouses interest in people with different profiles and backgrounds, including African American families. The life of Nyanga is not easily accessible and is full of mysteries, which represents an opportunity to inquire about his legacy and his contribution to the black history in México. The emergence of the first liberated town named Yanga in the framework of the colony in the 16th century is an extraordinary fact in the history of the blackness in Mexico. The foregoing is born the interest to know its history. The objective of the study was to determine if the black history can be considered a resource with potential for tourism in the municipality of Yanga in Veracruz. This paper is a descriptive study of transversal type. A questionnaire was applied and supplemented with second sources of reviewed information. As a result of this research, the assessment of the black history as tourist resource was obtained.
