Evaluación de sostenibilidad turística de un “pueblo mágico”: caso Pinos, Zacatecas.

Abstract

En el presente estudio se evaluó la sostenibilidad turística del Pueblo Mágico de Pinos, Zacatecas. La investigación se realizó en tres etapas: en la primera se hizo un análisis documental en varios archivos históricos del país y en el Archivo General de Indias en España; en la segunda etapa se hicieron recorridos a los municipios de Pinos y Salinas para inventariar el patrimonio cultural y se hicieron entrevistas estructuradas a los habitantes; finalmente a partir del inventario se analizaron alternativas para lograr la sostenibilidad del Pueblo Mágico de Pinos, Zacatecas. Los resultados sugieren que el paisaje pinense ha sido conformado y transformado debido a varios procesos sociohistóricos acontecidos en el territorio que se materializaron en el patrimonio con el que cuenta el municipio en la actualidad. El inventario patrimonial, identificó bienes con potencial turístico. Se consideró la percepción y valoración de sus habitantes sobre el patrimonio y con estos elementos se propuso la creación de rutas turísticas de interior. Se propone la incorporación de la localidad de Salinas de Hidalgo, San Luis Potosí a los itinerarios culturales y naturales del municipio de Pinos, Zacatecas debido a su relación histórica que se remontan a la época prehispánica y colonial y por su cercanía geográfica, lo que representa una valiosa oportunidad para detonar el sector turismo entre dos municipios con paisajes excepcionales; dinamizando las actividades socio-económicas de las comunidades y reforzando la valoración, así como el sentimiento de orgullo y pertenencia de sus habitantes.

In the present study, the tourism sustainability of the “Pueblo Mágico” of Pinos, Zacatecas was evaluated. The investigation was carried out in three stages: in the first one a documentary analysis was made in several historical archives in México and in the General Archive of the Indies in Spain; in the second stage, trips were made to the municipalities of Pinos and Salinas to inventory the cultural heritage and structured interviews were conducted with the inhabitants; finally, using the historical analysis and the inventory, alternatives were analyzed to achieve the sustainability of the Magical Town of Pinos, Zacatecas. The results suggest that the Pinense landscape has been shaped and transformed due to several sociohistorical processes that occurred in the territory that materialized in the current heritage of the municipality. The patrimonial inventory, identified assets with tourism potential. The perception and assessment of its inhabitants about the heritage was considered and with these elements the creation of interior tourist routes was proposed. A proposal to incorporate the town of Salinas de Hidalgo, San Luis Potosí to the cultural and natural itineraries of the municipality of Pinos, Zacatecas is made due to its historical relationship dating back to pre-Hispanic and Colonial times and its geographical proximity, which represents a valuable opportunity to detonate the tourism sector between two municipalities with exceptional landscapes; boosting the socio-economic activities of the communities and reinforcing inhabitants values, as well as being proud of the unique heritage that they possess.
