Microfinanzas y participación política de las mujeres rurales en la Mixteca Poblana: el caso de la Central Campesina Cardenista

Abstract

El microfinanciamiento es una herramienta utilizada como estrategia de sobrevivencia para las mujeres rurales que viven en la Mixteca Poblana y con ello representan una base social para la Central Campesina Cardenista donde las socias encuentran un espacio para modificar su visión y participación política. El objetivo de la investigación fue indagar como se da la relación de los grupos de microfinanciamiento con la CCC e incrementar la participación política de las mujeres. Se utilizó el estudio de caso, la observación participante, notas de campo, entrevistas estructuradas y cuestionarios para obtener información precisa que ayuda a explicar el comportamiento de las socias. Los resultados revelaron que hay una estrecha relación de las mujeres con la CCC en dos aspectos: el primero es el interés económico con el cuál las mujeres toman al microfinanciamiento como una oportunidad para resolver sus necesidades básicas como la alimentación, educación y vivienda; el segundo se refiere al interés político donde a cambio del recurso deciden participar por convencimiento e interactúan políticamente en espacios donde externan sus opiniones y necesidades. Se concluyó que el microfinanciamiento es una herramienta necesaria para las mujeres rurales pero aún están lejos de sobrepasar la línea de la sobrevivencia y convertirse en microempresarias. Por otro lado la participación política les ha enseñado a tomar decisiones y esto puede servir para generar otro esquema de financiamiento rural a través de una caja de ahorro que les beneficie más en su sobrevivencia. _______________ MICROFINANCE AND POLITICAL PARTICIPATION OF RURAL WOMEN IN THE MIXTECA POBLANA: THE CASE OF CENTRAL CAMPESINA CARDENISTA. ABSTRACT: The microfinance is a tool used as survival strategy by rural women who live in the Mixteca Poblana region and thus represent a social base for the Central Campesina Cardenista where members find a space to change their vision and political participation. The research aimed to investigate how the relationship of microfinance group with the CCC is generated and increase the political participation of women. The case study, participant observation, notes of trips, structured interviews and questionnaires were used to obtain precise information that helped to explain the behavior of members. The results revealed that there is a close relationship of women with the CCC in two aspects: the first is the economic interest with which women take the microfinance as an opportunity to meet their basic needs such as food, education and housing; the second refers to the political interest where in exchange for the economic resources they choose to participate by conviction and interact politically in spaces where they express their opinions and needs. It was concluded that microfinance is a necessary tool for rural women, but they are still far beyond the line of survival and becoming entrepreneurs. On the other hand the political participation has taught them to make decisions which can generate another schema of rural financing as a saving bank that can benefit them most in their survival.
