Análisis del medio físico en la región con clima

Abstract

Este estudio tiene como objetivo mostrar la utilización del análisis ecológico de las diversas zonas del país para la planeación de la investigación y la experimentación agropecuaria. Se analizaron los factores físicos - geológico, geográfico, climático y edáfico de la región oriental y sureste de México con clima A ó tropical húmedo según la clasificación de Koeppen. Este clima se caracteriza por registrar una media de temperatura del mes más frío superior a los 18ºC y una precipitación con la relación P/ (T + 14) >2, siendo P la precipitación media anual en centímetros, T la temperatura media anual en grados centígrados, y 14 el factor de corrección. Estos análisis sirvieron para conjugar el conocimiento actual de la zona, para señalar las deficiencias en los estudios disponibles, y para proceder a ejemplificar su utilización en la programación correspondiente al cultivo de maíz de Tonalmil cuya siembra se efectúa durante el invierno en las zonas con clima Af y Am y cuya cosecha en mayo sirve para aliviar la escasez temporal de este cereal. ABSTRACT: This study was made with the porpuse of illustrating how the ecological analysis of a region may be utilized in programming the agricultural research. An analysis was made of the physical factors, geology, geography, climate and soils of the environment in the important agricultural area of eastern and southeastern Mexico with an A or tropical humid climate as defined by Koeppen. this climate is characterized by a mean temperature of the coldest month above 18ºC and a precipitation with the following relation P/ (T + 14)>2, where P is the mean annual precipitation in centimeters, T is the mean annual temperature in ºC and 14 is a correction factor. These analysis served to bring together out present information in these fields, to indicate the graps in our knowledge, and to demostrate their application in the planning of the research dealing with the cultivation of Tonalmil maize. This crop in planted during the winter months in the areas of Af and Am climates and es harvested during May coinciding with the period of lowest seasonal reserves of this important cereal in Mexico.
