dc.description.abstract | En este trabajo se planteo medir el impacto sobre el precio de las importaciones de carne de pavo el efecto en el consumo y su afectación a la industria nacional productora de pavo, para ello se estiman las elasticidades de la demanda marshallianas para diferentes productos como: carne de pavo, bovino, porcino, pollo y huevo. Se estimó un Sistema de Demanda Casi Ideal (AIDS), con ecuaciones aparentemente no relacionadas (SUR, por sus siglas en ingles), aplicando el índice de precios Stone. De acuerdo con los resultados de las elasticidades precio propias marshallianas, los 5 productos resultaron con elasticidad menores a uno, es decir inelásticos. En el caso de las elasticidades precio cruzadas, las combinaciones entre los productos cárnicos resultaron ser complementarios entré ellos. Las elasticidades gasto indican que los cárnicos Pollo, cerdo, res y huevo se establecen como bienes normales necesarios; y en el caso de la carne de pavo se comporta como un bien normal de Lujo. El modelo AIDS es utilizado para pronosticar cambios en la demanda, por lo que, ante una caída del 5 % en los precios de los productos en estudio, se pronostica un aumento de las cantidades demandadas de pavo en un 2%, de pollo en 0.20%, en cerdo del 0.69%, en res de 0.72% y en huevo de 0.39%. _______________ DEMAND MODEL NEARLY IDEAL (AIDS) FOR TURKEY, BEEF, PORK MEAT, CHICKEN AND EGG IN THE PERIOD OF 2003-2010. ABSTRACT: This work consider measuring the impact on the price of imports of Turkey meat the effect on consumption and its effect to the national industry of Turkey, this estimated elasticities of the marshallian demand for various products such as: Turkey, bovine, pig meat, chicken and egg. A (AIDS) almost Ideal demand system, was estimated with equations apparently unrelated (SUR), by applying the price Stone. According to the results of own price elasticities marshallian, 5 products were with elasticity less than one, i.e. inelastic. In the case of cross-price elasticities, combinations among meat products were found to be complementary entered them. Expenditure elasticities indicate that the meat of chicken, pork, beef and egg are established as needed normal goods; and in the case of Turkey behaves like a normal luxury good. The AIDS model is used to predict changes in demand, which, against a fall of 5% in the prices of the products in Studio, predicted an increase of the demand quantities of Turkey in a 2%, chicken in 0.20%, pig of the 0.69%, 0.72% res and egg of 0.39%. | en_US |
