Festival ecocultural Tepexilotla: impulsando el agroecoturismo, la cultura y la conciencia ecológica para el desarrollo rural en Tepexilotla, Chocamán, Veracruz.

Abstract

El agroecoturismo es una actividad generadora de cambios positivos graduales en las que han incursionado comunidades rurales en el país, como la de Tepexilotla, Municipio de Chocamán, estado de Veracruz. Esta actividad ha ido transformando a la comunidad y generando nuevas opciones de participación social e ingresos. Buscar solución a los problemas de marginación social en que viven muchas comunidades rurales del país es una responsabilidad del estado y sus instituciones. Este es el caso de Tepexilotla, con un nivel de baja marginación social. Por ello, se plantean que acciones, servicios y productos del turismo rural, y particularmente la gestión en implementación de Festivales Ecoculturales como una opción para mejorar sus condiciones de marginación social y económica. Por tanto, el objetivo general de esta investigación fue: evaluar el impacto económico, social, cultural y ambiental del Festival Ecocultural en la comunidad de Tepexilotla, Veracruz, y generar recomendaciones sobre la realización del festival y la actividad agroecoturística. Los objetivos particulares fueron: 1) Organizar y diseñar de manera participativa el “Festival Ecocultural Tepexilotla”, su servicios y productos turísticos y culturales (Congreso Nacional de Agroecoturismo, Concurso gastronómico, Concurso de dibujo infantil, Caminata y cabalgata por la preservación del bosque mesófilo de niebla, y Orquesta infantil y juvenil “Sonidos de Niebla”, entre otros) y analizar sus impactos; 2) Analizar el nivel de colaboración y organización de la comunidad en el festival como un elemento de empoderamiento de participación comunitaria; 3) Analizar la rentabilidad económica para la comunidad participante en el festival en el corto plazo; 4) Determinar el fomento cultural comunitario según la percepción de la comunidad participante en el festival; 5) Evaluar la modificación del paisaje ocasionada por el festival en el medio natural de la comunidad a corto plazo; 6) Evaluar la apropiación de la comunidad hacia el festival como un elemento de identidad cultural con su medio natural. Del 1ro y 2do Festival Ecocultural Tepexilotla se observó la participación comunitaria de forma creciente, la cual produjo cambios positivos tanto en lo cultural, así como en lo económico, lo cual generó un grado de apropiación por el grupo de agroecoturismo alto, sustentado en la adopción de este como una actividad anual. La conclusión a las que se llegó fue que el impacto económico, social, cultural y ambiental evaluado del Festival Ecocultural Tepexilotla fue positivo en el 1er y 2do. _______________ ECOCULTURAL TEPEXILOTLA FESTIVAL: PROMOTING AGROECOTOURISM, CULTURE AND ECOLOGICAL AWARENESS FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT IN TEPEXILOTLA, CHOCAMAN, VERACRUZ. ABSTRACT: Agroecotourism is an activity that generates gradual positive changes in which rural communities in the country have entered, such as Tepexilotla, Municipality of Chocamán, state of Veracruz. This activity has been transforming the community and generating new options for social participation and income. Addressing the problems of social marginalization in which many rural communities live is a responsibility of the state and its institutions. This is the case of Tepexilotla, with a level of low social marginalization. Therefore, it is proposed that rural tourism actions, services and products, and particularly the implementation of Ecocultural Festivals as an option to improve their conditions of social and economic marginalization. Therefore, the general objective of this research was to evaluate the economic, social, cultural and environmental impact of the Ecocultural Festival in the community of Tepexilotla, Veracruz, and to generate recommendations on the festival´s realization and agroecotouristic activity. The specific objectives were: 1) Organize and design in a participatory manner the "Festival Ecocultural Tepexilotla", its services and tourist and cultural products (National Congress of Agroecotourism, Gastronomic Contest, Child Drawing Contest, Walk and cavalcade for the preservation of fog mesophyll forest, children and youth Orchestra "Sonidos de Niebla", among others) and to analyze their impacts; 2) Analyze the level of collaboration and organization of the community in the festival as an element of empowerment of community participation; 3) Analyze the economic profitability for the community participating in the festival in the short term; 4) Determinate the community cultural promotion according to the perception of the community participating in the festival; 5) Evaluate the modification of the landscape caused by the festival in the natural environment of the community in the short term; 6) Evaluate the appropriation of the community towards the festival as an element of cultural identity with its natural environment. The first and second Festival Ecocultural Tepexilotla showed increasing community participation, which produced positive changes in both cultural as well as economic, which generated a degree of appropriation by the group of high agroecotourism, supported by the adoption of this as an annual activity. The conclusion reached was that the economic, social, cultural and environmental impact of the Festival Ecocultural Tepexilotla was positive in the 1st and 2nd.
