Evaluación de los cambios físicos introducidos en la región de la Laguna

Abstract

En este estudio, se evalúan económicamente los cambios físicos introducidos en la región de la Laguna por el proyecto de rehabilitación del Distrito de Riego No. 17, señalando las obras y las inversiones del proyecto. Asimismo, se discute la función-objetivo, las suposiciones y las restricciones del análisis beneficio-costo que sirve de marco teórico al estudio. Se presentan también, los resultados del análisis de sensibilidad destacando la importancia del aumento de los rendimientos agrícolas para lograr que los beneficios provenientes del proyecto sean superiores a los costos del mismo e indicando la reducción en la razón beneficio-costo al introducir cambios en la estructura de la producción de la región. ABSTRACT: The physical changes introduced into the Laguna region by the rehabilitation project of the Distrito de Riego No. 17 are evaluated in this study, from the economical point of view, remarking at once the investments and the works of the project. There are also, discused the objetive-function, the restrictions and the suppositions of the gains-costs analysis, which is the theoretical frame within which this study is carried out. The findings of the price sensitivy analysis are noted too emphasising the importance of the improvement of the agricultural yields, in order to get the benefits from the project to be higher than its costs. It is also noted the reduction of the relation benefit-cost ratio when changes are introduced to the agricultural production structure of the region.
